Hi! I am a 17 year-old girl and I have been noticing that my period is a little irregular, I've just been spotting for a few months. I'm a virgin and intend to stay one for a long while so should I get a pelvic exam for this issue? Also, I am wondering if the speculum part of the exam will hurt. I've tried using tampons but since I'm a virgin and nothing usually goes in there, if hurts when they come out and I'm wondering if the speculum will have the same effect, thanks!
