Hi I Am A 36 Year Old Pretty Healthy Person

Hi I am a 36 year old pretty healthy person who is having problems bleeding outside my menstrual cycle. It started about a week ago where I may spot throughout the day or bleed with a few clots maybe on one pad during the day. I also have a Copper IUD in place. I was wondering if I needed to consult a doctor. Didn't want to go into a doctors office if this is normal to go through with IUD. Also, I have no pain or cramps until my actual menstrual cycle. What would you advice me to do?
