I am a 38 yr old female and i have recently had a blood test which has indicated the follows:
Red Blood Cell Count 5.69x10*12/L (High)
Mean Cell Haemoglobin Level (XE2pb) 25.1 pg (low)
Mean Cell Haemoglobin Concentration 315 g/l (low)
Please can you tell me what could be the cause for a High red blood cell count but a low Haemoglobin level? I have been prescribed iron tablets 200mg x 3 per day. I have been suffering with hairless and tiredness and high back pain.
