Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am a 39 yr old female. I weigh 165 and 5'7", excerise 2-3 times a week. Overall in good health, I did have mild viral pericarditis 3 years ago, but have recovered well. Recently had my cholesterol checked and am concerned about results: Total 245, Triglycerides 88, HDL 62, LDL 165, Ratio of 4.0 Family history of high cholesterol and some heart disease in paternal side. Is this something I can work with by increasing exercise and diet. Should I be concerned? I do have a female cousin who also was recently diagnosed with SCAD. Thanks!
