I am a 44 year old male having an occasional interruption stoppage while urinating. I consulted a urologist who checked for UTI using a urine sample. He also palpated my prostate and said there seems nothing to be concerned about. He also had a nurse perform an ultrasound of the bladder to see if it is emptying and said it seems to be ok. I asked him the cause and he said he is unable to find one and that I should not worry about it. I do need to get up a couple of times a night to urinate and at times when I have this type of a stoppage it feels sometimes like the bladder has not emptied. Any chance the symptoms here can clue you into what may be causing this type of occasional urinary hesitancy episodes?
