Hi I Am A 48 Year Old Woman. Recently (6

Hi I am a 48 year old woman. Recently (6 months ago) I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. An ecg was ordered and was abnormal. I was hospitalised for 3 days for tests and to rule out heart attack. My blood pressure remained high and they put me on perindorpril for the first time. Whilst in hospital I had an echo and a CT of my heart - both were normal. I was discharged and told my blood pressure would be controlled with medication. A few months later, I had headaches and went to the doctor. My blood pressure was very high. The doctor ordered another ecg, which came back abnormal. I was referred to cardiologist and underwent another echo and a stress test. After the stress test the doctor performed another echo. I was told that my heart muscle was showing a weakness. He told me I had cardiomyopathy and prescribed me coveram 10mg, metoprolol tatrate 25mg twice daily, asprin 100mg and rosuvastatin sandoz (crestor) 5mg, and ordered an urgent angiogram. The angiogram was done two weeks later and showed no signs of muscle weakness or blockages.
Can the medication make the symptoms of cardiomyopathy disappear? Or has the condition repaired itself?
