Hi, I Am A 52 Year Old Young At Heart

Hi, I am a 52 year old young at heart women. I have noticed that I have a polyp just on the entrance to my rectum. I have previously suffered from piles, but not for some years. My bowel habits have changed over the past month, with me having to go more frequent and is mainly a very light yellow colour. I have also had times when I thought I needed to pass wind, but have followed through. Should I get this checked out.
