Hi! I Am A 62 Year Old Male. I Fractured

Hi! I am a 62 year old male. I fractured my clavicle, through a fall on Jan 18. I wear my sling nearly 24 hrs daily. I'm still having some pain in that area. At times the pain level is 4-5 and other days like today the pain is a little bit more, like level: 6-7.5, with still have very limited mobility. Is this normal? I'm off my pain killers a number of weeks ago (have some remaining), and am now taking (3) Advil twice a day, Have tried putting cold and heat - heat feels better now and doing some very light exercises - 1. Cervical spine-Flexibility upper trapezius stretch 2. Upper cervical rotation mobilization for right and left3. 3. Scapular retraction & Shoulder shrug. (Just 1 session a day for these). My wife says I should continue to do these exercises even though it hurts and I've been taking a day here/there off. She tell me the PT will give me heck for not doing my exercises daily. I hurt more a number of hours up to a day after the exercises. What is you opinion on all of this? Thanks
