Hi, I Am A College Teacher And I Am Concerned

Hi, I am a college teacher and I am concerned about one of my student's drinking. He often comes into class smelling of alcohol but he does not seem intoxicated. I have spoken to him and he is in denial about his drinking. If the smelle of alcohol seems to be coming through his pores/ body order is this a sign of heavy drinking?
