Hi, I Am Getting Pain In My Palm Where There

Hi, I am getting pain in my palm where there is a tiny purple vain in the middle of my palm and it is sending shooting pains through my hand and up my arm where my other veins are near my wrist. I have had to put a wrist support on to be able to write with that hand as I am right handed but it still does hurt even with it.
What could this be? I am 20 years old also.
