Hi I Am More Often Then Not, Dizzy, Especially When

Hi I am more often then not, dizzy, especially when I turn to my right. The dizziness affects my stomach and I tend to get nauseous. I went to the dr. recently and she said I was slightly over weight, bout 12lbs. I also have diabetes in our family. I am wondering if that is a possibility??
