Hi I am recovering at home from pleurisy and pneumonia. It started with pleurisy treated with doxyclyin 100mg and prednisone 80mg did not work! I had to take my self to out of hours with temp of 39 the gp there asked me what had worked for me in the past? I told him kefalexin 500mg for chest infections. I've never had pleurisy or pneumonia before. I'm now my 2nd course and 2nd week if steroids. They did say if no improvement I would have to consider hospital, definitely on the mend. Its very slow. I have two autoimmune disorders type 2 diabetes my sugars have been high 21 due to infection and steroids, also I have PCOS. Is this why I'm taking a while to get over it? When shall I feel more well and less exhausted?
