Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I be been dipping heavy for a good 2 years or so, I dip about a can everyday or every other day. I've only just recently started doing that (like within the past month or so), about two days ago I put a little less than half a can in my cheek. I only did this because I wanted to kill the can due to I can't really tolerate the mint flavor any more because of its strong taste. I've been using a milder flavor and that's become my daily dipper. But about an hour after I put that mint in my mouth the left side of my tongue has been sore. It stings a little. I've never had this happen before. I've dipped a whole can before and never had this happen. Could the pain be caused by the prolonged time the dip was in contact with my tongue? I don't see anything noticeably different about my tongue, it's seems just a little puffy. Is it possible that I have developed a cancerous tumor? I doubt it but any things possible it seems. Any help is much appreciated:)
