Hi I Broke The 5th Metatarsal In My Left Foot

I broke the 5th metatarsal in my left foot 7 weeks ago tomorrow
I was in a boot for 6 weeks no weight bearing
But for the last 2-3 weeks of 6 weeks my foot felt swollen, numb and had trouble wiggling toes

At my 6 week appointment foot was red cold and swollen but upon checking student dr said it was fine

I was told I could take boot off when sitting but had to use crutches and boot and could now weight bear for next 6 weeks

Next morning my foot when not elevated kept swelling and going a dark purple black Color

I then went to emergency and they did numerous tests for a dvt but none found

They suggested I go to my gp and get a referral to orthopaedic specialist which my dr tried ringing quiet a few but unable to get appointment for a month or more

I have woken up today to same symptoms but now have a brownish line going from my little toe down a bit then halfway across my foot

I've also tried ringing a few specialists but at a loss of what to do

I live in Mooroolbark in Melbourne

Please help
