Hi I Bruised My Toe Nail From Playing Soccer Yesterday

Hi I bruised my toe nail from playing soccer yesterday . I don't remember kicking with it too hard but I woke up this morning and saw near the cuticle black-ish and it really hurts. I didn't cut my toenails before the game so that might've been the reason why . I have a game in 2 days again, will it get worse? Also, what remedies can I do? I don't want to make I hole into it or have my nail removed or anything I'm really scared . What should I do? Ice ? Hot compress ? Massage the toe? It's my big toe. It really hurts.
