Hi I Came Down With What I Thought Might Be

Hi I came down with what I thought might be a flu bug two days ago, I had a fever of around 100 but more pronounced was abdominal pain (more on the mild side really I might even describe it as pressure or fullness with not super painful but uncomfortable bowel movements) and also feeling very fatiqued. Fast forward to today, fever and fatique are gone and abdominal pain/pressure better by say 30 percent and bowel movement still uncomfortable and then noticed bright red blood spot on tissue and also in toilet bowl, around stool and maybe even in stool! Not tons of blood or blood that keeps flowing. just a l ittle Also I am pretty sure I had bright red blood on tissue before about 2 weeks ago from rectal area though I told myself it was probably just my period. I have never had bleeding like this before especially right after a fever with fatique etc. I am wondering if this could be some kind of bowel or colon cancer. My first cousin had this and he is about 4 years older then me. I am 44 and a half years old.
