Hi I Cleaned My Carpet With Abit Of Bleach As

Hi I cleaned my carpet with abit of bleach as my toddler spilt milk and after a few days it had a horrible smell and I got a 4 week old baby too and he was in his Moses basket when I done it in the front room but I soon realised and opened windows and let it air, would the smell of bleach affect my newborn ?
