Hi. I Cut My Pointer Finger Very Deep 2 Weeks

Hi. I cut my pointer finger very deep 2 weeks ago. It has healed but for some reason my knuckle which was close to be cut is swollen. Could it be fluid or something from the trauma of my bad cut. I probably should have gotten a couple of stitches but didn't.
