Hi. I Did A Pregnancy Test On 14th Of April

Hi.
I did a pregnancy test on 14th of April 2018 and it came out positive. Then 23rd of April I saw my period for 2 days.I went back to the hospital on 4th of may confirm the pregnancy and the test result showed negative. Please I don't understand this.
