Hi. I Do Have A Question About My Eyes. I

Hi. I do have a question about my eyes. I am 49 yrs. old and have worn contact lenses since 9th grade. Last year my optometrist said that my left eye lid doesn't completely close causing the extreme dryness to the contact lens in that eye. He put me in eye glasses. I'm tired of the glasses and hope to wear lenses again. Should I see an ophthalmologist? What would you suggest?
