Hi, I Experience Frequent Urge To Urinate Accompanied By Discomfort

Hi, I experience frequent urge to urinate accompanied by discomfort while urinating. Sometimes the pain becomes severe after urination. Location of pain appears to be in the urinary tract. I went for a urine test which shows pus cells 20--25 hpf and epithelial cells 4-- hpf. Doctor has prescribed me ceftum tab. 500 mg alongside rantac tab. Please tell me what exactly is my condition and if the prescribed medication will help? Thanks.
