Hi I Fell And Smashed My Ribs Against The Bath

I fell and smashed my ribs against the bath 1 month ago I returned to work 4 days after falling and the pain has got much worse and is all the way down my left side now and not just at the top. I seen the GP here today and he gave me Novalgin and Vimovo and advised me not to work which is unfortunately not possible can I take these meds together?
