Hi, I got an paraguard IUD back in October, and I would have heavy bleeding followed by my regular period. But this cycle, I had the heavy bleeding, but my period has not come yet. My cycle usually lasts between 33-32 days, but now its on day 42, and I've only had light spotting at most. I've checked my strings, and it seems like it is still in place.

Is this a normal thing with a copper IUD? I won't be able to see a gyno until my insurance kicks in on February 1st, and I really need to calm my nerves about this matter.
