Hi. I Got Stitches In My Toe Yesterday After A

Hi. I got stitches in my toe yesterday after a mole was removed. The doctor put a normal bandaid over it but adhered the sticky part to the stitches rather than the dry patch. It's been 24 hours since the stitches and I woke up with my toe in immense pain. I now can't walk on it whereas yesterday I could. I removed the banaid which hurt a lot. Should I just let the air get to the stitches and see if it gets better? Or should I go have it properly dressed somewhere else?
