Hi I Had ORIF Surgery 4 And A Half Months

Hi I had ORIF surgery 4 and a half months ago. One surgery incision healed the last section finally closed and scab fell off a week ago. The past couple of days the scars have developed a bright red rash around the edges. Tried applying otc cortisone cream which makes it angry and weeps a yellow liquid. What is this rash from and how can I treat it as it is getting worse by the hour?
