Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I had a baby tooth extracted in the beginning of May and a dental implant was inserted. I went bald for a follow up visit and was told that clinically the implant site looks great. However, based on X-Ray the implant isn't sitting exactly properly due to cupping at the site. I was told it could have happened due to one of five different reasons. The surgeon said he doesn't see this often. I have to go back in two weeks to get the site cleaned and he is going to put in a cow bone graft. Should I be concerned? Is this normal. I am slightly anxious about this although the surgeon didn't seem to be concerned. Thank you.
