Hi, I Had A Caterac Removed And An Upgraded Lens

Hi, I had a caterac removed and an upgraded lens installed. A few weeks later I woke up with a large fogey spot and blured vison. My surgen said I needed retna surgery and sent me to a retna surgen. He told me I had a large floter and recommended waiting to see if it would go away on its own. My question is do you think it will go away after all this time and it abnormal for this to happen after surgery. Thank you
