Hi I Had A Low White Blood Cell Count So

Hi I had a low white blood cell count so my doctor wanted me to redo the lab. I was going to go tomorrow but I have a bunch of (a few week old) itchy tick bites and a few scrapes up my legs from walking through a prairie. I was wondering if I should wait to get blood drawn in case that raises my WBC count, or if WBC only go up when there's a viral infection?
