Hi, I Had A Polipectomy In The Cervix Las Year

Hi, I had a polipectomy in the cervix las year in December 2015 and since then my periods are heavier than usual, they are regular but now painful on the first day mostly. Before the surgery I never had pain or heavy periods. I am 37 and wondering if it is because the polyps might have returned? Thanks
