Hi, I Had An Aortic Valve Replacement (bovine Pericardial 27mm)

Hi,
I had an aortic valve replacement (bovine pericardial 27mm) and ascending aorta graft for bicuspid AV in October. I am doing extremely well in general with no symptoms. I have regained may weight (170 lb at 5'7"). I am attending cardiac rehab and exercising on my own. I am able to go 90 min at 120 watts on an air dyne. I would like to some resistance exercise, but my cardiologist is rather vague about how much lifting I should do. Is there a recommended level one should do or avoid? Is there some literature that states what is allowed? Thank you.
Maybe I should mention that I am an orthopedic surgeon.
