Hi I Had An Ectopic Pregnancy Which Was Treated Using

Hi I had an ectopic pregnancy which was treated using methotrexate. The ectopic mass had gone and my HCG levels were 0 by 4 th of April. I haven't got my period yet and my doctor said I haven't ovulated yet and prescribed regestron pills for 10 days. Why didn't I ovulate in the first place? Can this become a permanent problem? I always had regular menses.
