Hi I Had Root Canal Treatment A Few Years Ago

Hi I had root canal treatment a few years ago and I think my tooth may be decaying, they made a hole in the top of my gum to realise pressure when i first need my root canal but it sometimes putrudes and I'm wondering do I have another infection or a parasite in my mouth?
