Hi, I had routine blood work done in August for an annual exam and the NP said all looked good except my vitamin D was low so I am on a 2000 iu supplement daily. I have been getting more and more tired in the last 5 years, I have gained weight, can't sleep without an OTC sleep aid, have developed digestive problems(reflux and lactose intolerance), get headaches, my head feels fuzzy sometimes, my eye sight has gotten so poor, and sometime feel out of breath just walking around, other times I'm fine. It's not consistent. I looked at my results this past week and noticed that my RBW and MCHc were high. I am 46, overweight and can't seem to loose it, i have had a hysterectomy with 1 ovary left and my gall bladder removed. Could this be my thyroid or periamenapause? Should I see my family doctor again or go to an endocrinologist? Last question, would the routine cbc show a thyroid problem? My blood sugar levels were great.
