Hi I Had The Nexplanon Implant Implanted 6 Weeks After

Hi I had the Nexplanon implant implanted 6 weeks after giving birth. I have been on this form of birth control for almost two weeks now. I started spotting (light pink) two days ago (only when I wiped) this morning I awoke with bright red bleeding & cramping. I am solely breastfeeding my little one. Is this normal? I was told I wouldn't have any bleeding until after I was done breastfeeding.
