Hi I Have 70 Y.O. Mom Who Was Justdiagnosed With
Hi I have 70 Y.O. Mom who was justdiagnosed with a Brain stem stroke. she first lost her her eye sight in the left eye. then within 24 hrs had nausea, dizziness, and couldn't walk straight.. docs can't get her BP down. it's hovering 140's/ 90's now. went in ER with 210/120.
they have her on 4 bp meds and can't get it down.
dizziness continues and the hospital finally put her on heparin. Thank god!
She has a history of carotid blockage (almost 100% blockage at the time..now has stent that was placed a couple years ago.
She is 5' 4'' and probably around 200lbs
She is a borderline diabetic
She is being life flighted to cleveland clinic as we speak for surgery. what does the surgery entail? how long is it? how much of a risk is it for her to have surgery? recovery?
