Hi,
I have a 16 year old female Persian who has had benign tumors under her arms since she was 2.
I found that one of the tumors had erupted tonight and is now an open wound. I rinsed it with chlorhexidine and wrapped it with gauze. I started her on 50mg Amoxicillin. I come from a medical family and I'm wondering if I could drain this wound myself? There is white stuff in the center that resembles cottage cheese, and there is nothing soft about this tumor. It is about the size of a very large grape. Any help would be appreciated.
