Hi,
I have a 4.5cm simple cyst on my left ovary. It has been there for about two years, but gradually grew after two rounds of fertility mess and never burst. It has been 4.5cm for the last year. 2 MRI scans and ultrasounds indicate that it is likely to be benign because of its appearance (according to the radiologists), so I'd like to have it aspirated rather than surgically removed. I'm hesitant to have it surgically removed unless absolutely necessary, but my doctor will not aspirate it in case it is cancerous, which worries me. He also thinks it will just grow back, but I've read some research that proves otherwise, depending on the type of cyst. Is there a way to biopsy the cyst without risking guild leaking into the abdominal cavity, to rule out cancer?
