Hi I Have A Bartholin Cyst On My Lower Left

Hi I have a bartholin cyst on my lower left labia. I went to the ER a few days ago and was told to soak in warm water for about 20,but I have been soaking for about half an hour to 45 minutes. Then had a gyn appointment buy the doctor said it still was too deep so to keep soaking but now I can't bear the pain or burning sensation on that same spot. What could it be I can't see it myself
