Hi, I Have A Close Friend Whom I Am Very

Hi, I have a close friend whom I am very concerned about. She confided in me last year that her periods were heavy. She went to see an OBGYN who prescribed birth control pills, but her mom rejected the advice out of fear that my friend would never be able to bear children after taking the pills (odd, I know). She was prescribed something else ( I don't know what and I fear to pry) and it is causing hair loss. I am alarmed because I have never heard of hormones (my friend says so) designed to combat heavy bleeding bring about a side effect of hair loss. What do you think?
