Hi! I Have A Cold That's Been Going On For

Hi! I have a cold that's been going on for about 2 1/2 weeks. It started out with normal symptom, progressed to a sore throat and a feeling like something was in my throat, then a very strong, hacking cough that triggered my gag reflex. It's mostly gone away, but I still am producing a fair amount of mucus in my nose, I occasionally cough, and my voice is mostly gone. Within the last two days, the right side of the roof of my mouth has been swollen. It does not appear to be getting worse; however, it is not getting better, and is worse at night. I've been trying to rest, drink lots of liquids, eat lots of primary sources of vitamin C like fruits, vegetables, have been eating healthy with whole grains and lean proteins, but I can't seem to shake this cold, and I'm concerned about the progression of symptoms. For what it's worth, I am in a region that is very dry and with a high altitude. Can you shed some light on what's going on? Thank you so much!!!
