I have a hard knot on the outside of my thumb that I believe is right at the first joint (it is the one nearest my thumb nail). It doesn't hurt at all, but is just hard as a bone. About the size of a large-sized pea. I am wondering what this could be, and whether I should consult my primary care physician about it.
