Hi I Have A Large Hard Knot On My Wrist

Hi I have a large hard knot on my wrist that has been trobbing, I am a constuction worker ,they gave me a wrist splint to wear it seem's to help the pain some what along with Ibuproben,but it is hard to work with it on,Should I see a specialist or something.
