Hi I Have A Question About Whether Or Not I

Hi I have a question about whether or not I should get checked in my private area. I got sexually assaulted by my ex boyfriend a few months ago and since then I've noticed some pains down there. My friend is pushing me to go get checked out just so I feel better but I always bail before getting checked out. What if this affects my ability to have a family? How can the doctors be sure that I have something wrong down there- tissue wise ?
