I have a question regarding emergency contraception.
I finished my last period about 10 days ago. I had sex 8 days ago and due to an unexpected situation, was forced to take Plan B the next day, (actually I believe it was another brand called "Option 2"). Approximately 4-5 days after taking Option 2, I got ANOTHER period. This period has lasted 3 days so far and has been a little bit heavier than my usual period. I al also experiencing drastic mood swings and noticeable hormonal changes.
First of all, I am wondering why Option 2 gave me a second a mere 7 days after my last period. Does this mean that there was a possibility I had conceived? I am also wondering how it is possible that I could get another period so soon after my last one. I am experiencing quite a heavy period and I wondering how it is possible that there is still that much blood left in my uterus since I just completed my period a week ago.
