Hi I Have A Rod In My Right Femur. I

Hi I have a rod in my right femur. I went to have it removed, unfortunately during the process the rod only moved 1.5cm and then the surgeon told me the bolt came out and the rod was threaded. He left it like that. I also have MS and looking to get stem cell treatment, after reaserch heavy metal could be a factor hence why I wanted it out. Is there anyway you know of removing a rod like this?
