Hi , I Have A Stabbing Pain In My Left

Hi , I have a stabbing pain in my left calf of my leg, I have it on and off for a few months now, it's only for a split second, Recently I have it all the time since last week without going away, it's only for a split second but excruciating , I had a hip replacement in my right leg 2 yrs ago , I'm 51yrs old, is there cause for concern ,
I'm very nervous now, I booked in to see doctor in two days time,
