Hi~ I Have A Terrible Sharp Pain In My Left

I have a terrible sharp pain in my left ovary. Within the last month I have been to the doctor because I had an absence of a period off & on for over two years. All tests & ultrasounds came back absolutely fine. I did have a huge massive period a few before going to the doctors. I think I may have had a cyst or something that finally gave way. I am 41 years old. And have no idea what this pain is from.
