Hi I Have A Tooth That Had A Root Canal

Hi I have a tooth that had a root canal about 6 years ago been feeling sick dizzy nausea forgetful face swollen gums starting hurting turning blue I figured abscess I found clarthromycin I had from sinus last year started taking it went to dentist next day they want my tooth extracted but I want to save it! I told Doctor I will wait until I finish my antibiotics. Can I still keep my tooth?
