Hi, I Have A Tooth That Is Rotting After A

Hi, I have a tooth that is rotting after a filling fell out around a year ago.
It is only becoming very painful and slightly swollen now plus there is a hard lump on the same side but next to my ear.
Should I be seeking immediate medical attention?
Does it sound like an abscess
