Hi I Have A Very Bad Abscess And I Had

Hi I have a very bad abscess and I had a refill of amoxicillin 500mg from a previous dental issue just in case I needed it. I remember once one of my dentist prescribed the same thing for me to take before a dental apointment except it said to take like 2 or 3 capsules at once an hour before the visit instead of 1 capsule 4 times daily. so my question is is it ok to take 2 500mg Amoxicillin for the first dose then go back to 1 500mg 4 times daily till gone? Would it help knock out the pain faster? I'm only 115lbs... I just want to knock out this infection as quick as possible it's a huge bump on my gum and hurts so bad
